The 2nd conference of “China Seismological Reference Model” will be held at the University of Science and Technology of China (USTC) on July 21-22, 2023. The main objective of the conference is to summarize the recent research on the Chinese Seismological Reference Model (http://chinageorefmodel.org/) and to propose priorities for the sustainable development of the reference model. The conference covers seismological structures, seismic hazards, dynamical processes, and future prospects of seismology in continental China. The conference is supported by the Department of Earth Sciences of the National Natural Science Foundation of China and co-organized by USTC; China Earthquake Networks Center, China Earthquake Administration; Institute of Geophysics, China Earthquake Administration; Institute of Geology and Geophysics, Chinese Academy of Sciences; and China University of Geosciences (Beijing).

Relevant researchers, graduate and undergraduate students are welcome to attend the conference. There is no registration fee for this conference. Participants and their accompanying persons are responsible for their own transportation and accommodation costs. The conference will provide round-trip transportation and accommodation reimbursement for first- to third-year geoscience undergraduates on a merit basis (quantity is limited). During the conference, participants will be provided with a platform of poster to present their recent research progress and results (with unlimited content) and exchange academic experiences.
