May 032016

The Geophysical Division of the National Natural Science Foundation of China (NSFC) plans to support the establishment of a China Seismological Reference Model in the form of a general programs fund cluster for a number of years to come. The NSFC established the “China Seismological Reference Model Working Group” in February 2016 to assist in the establishment of reference models for future general programs fund clusters. The Working Group will hold the first conference on “China Seismological Reference Model” from June 27 to 29, 2016 at the Institute of Geology and Geophysics, Chinese Academy of Sciences (IGG, CAS). More than 20 renowned scholars from dozens of organizations at home and abroad have been invited to the conference. The main content of the conference is to summarize the recent research status of the China Seismological Reference Model, and to put forward the goals and priorities of the reference model.

All researchers, graduate and undergraduate students are welcome to attend the conference. There is no registration fee for this conference, and participants and their accompanying persons will be responsible for their own transportation, accommodation and food expenses. During the conference, we will provide a free platform for participants to display their recent research progress and achievements (content is not limited) and exchange academic experiences. The specific program of the conference and the information of “Poster of Research Achievements” are attached in the Appendix.
